On Wednesday, June 17, much of the elite of America's high school basketball talent will converge on the University of Virginia's John Paul Jones Arena, once again the site of the NBA Player's Association Top 100 Camp.

The Top 100 Camp, a tradition going back well over a decade, will be in Charlottesville for the second consecutive summer, running from Wednesday the 17th through Sunday, June 21.
Few if any prep basketball events each year rival the Top 100 Camp in terms of getting many of the nation's top players in the same building, and this year's group of attendees is no disappointment.
This year's Top 100 Camp is expected to feature almost the entirety of Rivals.com's top 50 in the Class of 2010, along with many other standouts in the 2010 and 2011 classes.
Both of North Carolina's 2010 commitments---point guard Kendall Marshall of Alexandria (Va.) and shooting guard Reggie Bullock of Kinston (N.C.)---are going to be in attendance, along with most all of UNC's top remaining targets in the rising senior class.
At the top of that particular list is wing forward Harrison Barnes of Ames (Ia.), who has been making his case on the AAU circuit this spring as the No. 1 player in the country in the 2010 class.
To date, Barnes is the only other player in the rising senior class that North Carolina has offered aside of commitments Marshall and Bullock, and just 48 hours after winning the NCAA title, UNC head coach Roy Williams was in Ames to greet Barnes.
Following his time in Charlottesville, Barnes is expected to take an unofficial visit to North Carolina, which will be his first-ever visit to Chapel Hill.
Other 2010 prospects in attendance at the Top 100 Camp that will be worth watching from a North Carolina perspective includes forward Roscoe Smith of Baltimore (Md.), wing forward Casey Prather of Jackson (Tenn.), power forward Terrence Jones of Portland (Ore.), forward C.J. Leslie of Holly Springs (N.C.), and small forward Rod Odom of Concord (Mass.), among others.
The Tar Heels have long-standing interest in both Smith and Prather, although the interest in Smith has tailed off a little over the past few months.
Jones, Odom, and Leslie have all gotten more recent interest from UNC---Leslie following his de-commitment from N.C. State earlier this year---and will definitely be ones to watch in Charlottesville.
Only 12 prospects from the class of 2011 were invited to Charlottesville, including prospects on UNC's radar such as C.J. Barksdale, a forward from Danville (Va.), Michael Gbinije, a forward from Christchurch (Va.), and guard Shannon Scott of Alpharetta (Ga.), the son of former UNC star Charles Scott.
Despite featuring most all of the top UNC targets in the Class of 2010, this year's Top 100 Camp will be missing two of the program's top 2011 targets in James McAdoo and P.J. Hairston.
McAdoo will be participating with the Team USA 16-U squad in an event in Argentina, while Hairston wasn't one of the twelve rising juniors that made the list of invitees.
TarHeelIllustrated.com will be on-hand in Charlottesville for the Top 100 Camp and providing comprehensive coverage, including interviews, analysis, photographs, and real-time game reports, so be sure to come back next week for all the action!
