THE LATEST: Anthony Davis isn’t shy about his surprise level. His visit to North Carolina caught him off guard. He doesn’t mind sharing that fact. The four-star running back isn’t a man of many words, but it’s clear that his most recent trip had its intended impact.

“Everything is even again," Davis said on Monday. "All the teams are even because North Carolina made a move. I wasn’t really expecting that before the visit, but me and my mom had a great time out there.”

Davis said it was a combination of his meetings with UNC coaches and his campus tour that made the difference. According to the Florida-based running back, the meals were memorable and the appeal was clear.

“We went out and ate at places and really just got to the know the coaches and the school,” he said.

Davis will visit Louisville this weekend before taking a trip to Oregon on the final official visit weekend before National Signing Day.

IN HIS WORDS: “If I don’t announce on Signing Day, it’s going to come right after my official visit to Oregon – my last official visit.”

RIVALS REACTION: Oregon is the wild card in Davis’ recruitment. The fact that the Ducks have positioned themselves to receive his last official visit is significant. That said, overcoming the distance won’t be easy. North Carolina offers Davis a great opportunity for early playing time and it will be up to Louisville to show him they can offer the same. Where Davis will land is still a mystery at this point but the Tar Heels have feel good about their chances following Davis’ trip to Chapel Hill.
