ROCK HILL, SC – THI caught up with class of 2021 North Carolina commit Gavin Blackwell this past weekend as he was competing in the Blazin’ 7-On-7 Tournament.

A 4-star wide receiver who attends Sun Valley High School in Monroe, NC, Blackwell is rated the No. 129 overall prospect in the nation as well as No. 22 at his position. He’s the No. 8 prospect in North Carolina.

He committed to UNC in February and has played a role in the Tar Heels reeling in an impressive class, which is currently ranked No. 8 in the nation. Blackwell is one of 10 commitments rated with four stars.
