Catching Up With 3-Star WR Jeshaun Jones

Three-star class of 2018 wide receiver Jeshaun Jones last visited Chapel Hill in April for UNC’s annual spring game and came away impressed with what took place. While he was in regular communication with the UNC staff and had a great visit, the Tar Heels have received two commitments from receivers since and things have cooled down some.

The Fort Myers (FL) native singled out Maryland, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, South Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Oregon, Iowa State, Louisville and the Heels as the 11 schools he plans to focus on going forward in his recruitment. Yes, UNC is still in the mix.

Jones (6-1, 170) has expressed that at the moment he hears from the Tar Heels every now and then via text message, but is uncertain of where things will head from here.

Is Jones still interested in UNC?

"Yes Sir," he told THI. "I like the facilities they have there, the one that stood out was the Cryotherapy in the training facility, and of course the weight room."

Right now, Jones continues to explore the process. He’s set to visit Florida State later this month.
