Daily Drop: Are Bowl Games Really Necessary Anymore?

As North Carolina gets ready to face West Virginia in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl and so many other teams are prepping for bowl games not part of the College Football Playoff, the question begs: Are bowl games worthy playing anymore?

Every team is affected by players opting out and not playing, and they are teams’ top players headed to the NFL, and depth guys looking for new homes via the transfer portal.

In today’s Daily Drop, we discuss why bowl games have largely become meaningless, while offering a unique suggestion about how to still have them, but at the start of seasons, not the end.
