LAHAINA, HI – North Carolina Basketball Coach Hubert Davis met with the media following his team’s 92-90 victory over Dayton in the opening round of the Maui Invitational on Monday night.

The No. 12 Tar Heels trailed by 21 points at 56-35 with 17:46 remaining but outscored the Flyers 57-34 the rest of the way. UNC made 18 of its last 27 shots from the field and outrebounded Dayton 16-9 to close out the contest.

UNC (4-1) will face No. 4 Auburn on Tuesday night at 11:00 PM in the semifinals. Dayton dropped to 5-1.
