CHAMPAIGN, IL - North Carolina shook off a slow start but eventually got it going on both sides of the ball and pulled away from Illinois 48-23 on Saturday night at Memorial Stadium.

Illinois took a 7-0 lead going 80 yards on the first three plays of the game, but afterward UNC outgained the Illini 462-229 and outscored them 48-16.

The Tar Heels improved to 1-1 on the season while the Illini fell to 1-1.
