CHAPEL HILL – North Carolina toughed out a needed win Tuesday night, defeating Notre Dame, 75-69, at the Smith Center.
The Tar Heels shot just 39.7 percent on the night but outrebounded the Fighting Irish by 11, limited their best scorer to five points, and got 11 points over the final 11 minutes of the game from Nassir Little to notch the victory.
UNC improved to 13-4 overall and 3-1 in the ACC whole the Irish fell to 11-6 and 1-3.
