This past week featured major change. While North Carolina was looking for a new coach for the first time in almost two decades, the GEICO Nationals were taking place after a one-year hiatus. It is usually played in New York City, but instead the venue was changed to Ft. Myers, Florida.

Although the recruiting focus will probably change under a new coaching regime, there are certain players who are no brainers when it comes to long-term relationships with the Tar Heel program. Jaden Bradley and Jarace Walker hold Carolina offers while Kanaan Carlyle has said he wants a Tar Heel offer. Caleb Foster is an in-state product.

Their on-the-court play on high school basketball's biggest stage also made it obvious why North Carolina should be involved.
