2020 LB Stopped By UNC, Had Terrific Visit

Mohamed Kaba, a 3-star linebacker from Clinton (NC) High, was on the North Carolina campus Saturday. The 6-3, 205-pound class of 2020 prospect was one of many underclassmen that visited with Coach Mack Brown and his staff.

Kaba had an impressive junior season compiling 105 tackles, 17 for a loss of yardage, two sacks, and two interceptions for the tradition-rich Dark Horses.

THI caught up with Kaba on Sunday to get his thoughts on the UNC visit:

How was your trip to UNC on Saturday?

Kaba: “It was great. The staff is great and they have some great things coming in the facilities.”


What UNC coaches did you meet and what are some things you like about them?

Kaba: “I pretty much met all of them and you can tell they are fired up for the seasons coming up.”


What position are they recruiting you as and what do they like about you?

Kaba: “Linebacker. They like my length and versatility.”


How many offers do you have and who are those teams?

Kaba: “I have 9. UNC, NC State, Virginia, South Carolina, Wake Forest, Duke, Vanderbilt, ECU, and Tennessee.”


Do you plan to visit UNC again?

Kaba: “Yes, but I don’t know when yet.”
