Monroe (NC) freshmen wide receiver Shaleak Knotts took an unofficial visit this past weekend to Chapel Hill, to build a early relationship with the Tar Heel coaches.
“The trip was great they treated me very well it was a good opportunity for me,” the 6-2, 175 pounder told THI. “I got to spend time with Coach (Lonnie Galloway, Coach Dre Bly and head coach Mack Brown and different players.”
With Knotts being a freshman, the recruiting process is the farthest thing on his mind, but his initial trip to Chapel Hill was a good start though.
“My favorite part is when we went to the new facility,” he said.” They said they liked a lot about me, I just got to keep working hard for what I want.”
So far Knotts has picked up offers from Vanderbilt, East Carolina, Akron and Coastal Carolina, with early interest from UNC and South Carolina.
