Kennesaw, GA, 4-star tight end Ryland Goede is currently favoring Georgia, Michigan and Auburn, but that hasn't stopped North Carolina defensive line coach Deke Adams from leaping into the running for the class of 2019 prospect.

"UNC coach Deke Adams extended an offer, "the 6-7, 240 pounder told THI. "We just chatted for a few minutes after he stopped by the school today. He let me know that they want me and that they aren't just offering me to offer me, but that any time I want to commit they'd love to have me."

Goede, rated the No. 23 player in the state of Georgia, No. 5 naturally at his position and coming in at No. 196 overall nationally, has also been offered by Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, Michigan, LSU, Florida and Ohio State among many others.

As for the Tar Heels, he isn't quite familiar with the program, but is open to learning more about what they have to offer going forward.

"I've never actually heard from them until now," he said. "I'd love to hear more about their offense, because I was intrigued by what I've heard already, and also learning about the academics.”

Goede also excels on the school’s baseball team and wouldn't mind having the opportunity to continue his dream of playing both in college.

"I love it," Goede said. "Playing both sports is something I definitely want to do in the future."

Goede took a visit this Georgia this past weekend, but due to a busy schedule he doesn’t have any other trips planned for this spring.
