CHAPEL HILL - North Carolina hosted several prospects including many commitments for visits for its season home opener against Appalachian State on Saturday night in Kenan Stadium.

The Tar Heels defeated the Mountaineers 40-34 in double overtime to move to 2-0 in the 2023 season.
