• Carolina is 30-7 overall, 7-2 in neutral-site games this year.
• This is the 13th 30-win season for the Tar Heels and its seventh in 14 years under Roy Williams. The Tar Heels have won 30 or more games in 1946, 1957, 1982, 1987, 1993, 1998, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2016 and 2017.
• Carolina shot 54.4 percent from the floor. The Tar Heels are 13-2 this season and 189-5 under Roy Williams when they shoot 50 percent or higher from the floor.
• This was the fourth time in the last six games UNC has shot 50 percent from the floor (Duke, Miami in the ACC quarterfinal, Texas Southern and Butler).
• Carolina scored 13 fastbreak points, most since the Tar Heels had 14 against Florida State on 1/14/17.
• Carolina had 22 assists, most by the Tar Heels in an NCAA Tournament game since they had 23 against Gonzaga in the 2009 Sweet 16 against Gonzaga in Memphis’s FedExForum.
Tar Heel Player Notes
• Joel Berry II and Justin Jackson both scored 20-plus points for the fifth time this year and the first time since the Florida State game on 1/14. They have both scored 20 points this year vs. Tulane, Oklahoma State, Kentucky, Florida State and Butler.
• Berry led all scorers with 26, his ninth 20-game of the year and the most he has ever scored in the NCAA Tourney (previous was 20 vs. Villanova in the 2016 finals).
• It was Berry’s highest scoring game since he had 28 against Duke on 3/4.
• Berry matched his season high with seven made free throws.
• Jackson had 24 points, 17 in the first half. It was his 18th 20-point game this year (23rd career). It was the fifth time this year he scored 17 or more in a half (20 in first vs. Kentucky, 19 in first vs. Texas Southern, 18 in first at home vs. Virginia, 17 in first vs. Monmouth and 17 in the first vs. Butler).
• Jackson hit two three-pointers to extend his UNC single-season record to 100 three-pointers.
• Jackson has scored 674 points this year, fifth most in a season under Roy Williams.
• This was the fourth time this year Jackson scored 20 points and had five or more assists.
• Kennedy Meeks had 11 rebounds and passed Mitch Kupchak (1,006) and Brad Daugherty (1,003) for seventh place in school history in career rebounds. Meeks has 1,011 rebounds.
• Luke Maye had his first career double-double with a career-high 16 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
• Maye set a career scoring high in the first half with 14 (previous high was 13 at NC State).
• This was the fifth time in his career Maye has scored in double figures and was his second game with double-figure rebounds.
• Maye made three 3FGs for the first time (had made two twice, against Kentucky and Miami).
• This was the second time in three NCAA Tournament games this year Maye has led UNC in rebounds. He had done that twice the entire regular season.

• 813-216 overall, 395-115 in 14 years at Carolina
• 73-24 in the NCAA Tournament (second-most wins all-time).
• Williams is 13-5 in the Sweet 16, including 8-1 at Carolina.
• Has won 30 games 12 times, second most in NCAA history (Mike Krzyzewski 14). Williams has won 30 games seven times at
Carolina and five times at Kansas.
• Williams is 39-9 as a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
