DURHAM, NC – North Carolina was outscored by Duke 34-22 over the final 11 minutes on the way to an 89-76 loss to the No. 12 Blue Devils on Saturday at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
The Tar Heels cut Duke’s lead to 55-54 with 11:07 left but stumbled from that point on.
Garrison Brooks led UNC with 26 points and 13 rebounds – the fourth consecutive game he’s scored 25 or more points – while Armando Bacot added 13 points and 12 rebounds. Duke’s top trio of Vernon Carey (25 points, 10 rebounds), Tre Jones (21 points, 11 assists) and Cassius Stanley 19 points) were too much for the Tar Heels.
UNC closes out the regular season 13-18 overall and 6-14 in the ACC while the Blue Devils are 25-6 and 15-5.
