Bryson Nesbit can’t wait to arrive in Chapel Hill and begin his North Carolina football career. But it will have to wait several more months, as the 4-star tight end has his senior season of high school football to play first.

Like the rest of the public school programs throughout North Carolina, Nesbit and South Mecklenburg didn’t have seasons in the fall due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so Friday night begins a new, spring season.

Nesbit’s goals, however, are the same they would have been had the Sabres opened their season last August, as is the norm.
