CHARLOTTE – North Carolina picked up a needed quality nonconference victory Wednesday night, defeating No. 7 Oklahoma, 81-69, in the Jumpman Invitational at Spectrum Center.
The 11th-ranked Tar Heels led the entire game for the second time this season, both of which have been wins over top-10 teams. The other was Tennessee in November.
RJ Davis led the Tar Heels with 23 points, Armando Bacot added 14, Cormac Ryan 13, and Harrison Ingram had 11.
UNC improved to 8-3 while the Sooners dropped to 10-1.
The Tar Heels do not play again until December 29 when Charleston Southern visits. The players are now off until they return December 26.
