Jones (FL) cornerback Daquan Evans was one of the class of 2019 prospects that received an offer from North Carolina this past week. Evans also reports offers from Mississippi State, USF, Virginia Tech and Indiana.

The 5-11, 175- pounder from Orlando, FL, spoke to THI about his most recent offer and what his plans are moving forward:

Have you had a chance to visit UNC yet?

“No sir, but I plan on visiting soon.”

What do you hope to take away from your upcoming visit to Chapel-Hill?

“I will hope it feel like home to me and probably be the next home for me for the next 4 years of my collegiate career.”

UNC experienced a lot of woes this season due to injuries. How much will this weigh on your decision going forward?

“Well if I can come in and play right away then my decision might be made. For now I’m just trusting the process.”

You’ve picked up several offers recently; do you have any other visits scheduled?

“No sir.”

As of right now, where does UNC stack up against your list of schools?

“Right now there is no one in the lead for me.”
