Tallahassee, FL, class of 3-star 2019 tight end Kamari Morales commiitted to North Carolina on Monday night, announcing his decision on Twitter.
Morales was at UNC over the weekend participating in the Freak Show at Kenan Stadium. He and his family spent a lot of time talking with UNC Coach Larry Fedora afterward at midfield. His mother wore a UNC cap.
On Monday, he became a Tar Heel.
Morales chose the Heels over Ole Miss, Kentucky, Maryland and Kentucky, among many others.
THI caught up with Morales to discuss his time at the Freak Show and UNC.

How did the Freak Show go?
Morales: “It was fun, I had a great experience. I like how I did, I was just happy to compete with other good players... I talked with Coach Scott the most," he said. “We was just furthering our relationship, we didn't just talk about football the whole time."
THI: What was the best part about the Freak Show?
Morales: Being around the NFL guys.
THI: As a tight end, what does Coach Scott say stands out about you?
Morales: That I'm a 3-level threat.
THI: What did you think of the facilities on and off campus, and did any of them specifically stand out?
Morales: Honestly, I loved everything but I know when the indoor facility gets done, it's going to be great.
THI: Does something like the Freak Show improve your opinion of UNC?
Morales: Yessir, I loved the camp.
