North Carolina returns home to take on FCS member The Citadel at 3:30 pm Saturday at Kenan Stadium. The Tar Heels enter the game 7-3 overall and ranked No. 24 in the Coaches’ poll while the Bulldogs are unbeaten at 10-0 and ranked No. 5 in the FCS.

Here are THI’s staff picks for the game:

Deana King

Coming off a disappointing loss to rival Duke, the Heels need to regroup and have an excellent game against the good undefeated FCS Bulldogs. The Heel run defense will be tested and will have to create more opportunities for the Heel offense. Prediction: UNC 41, Citadel 21.

Jarrod Hardy

The Citadel is a bad matchup for The Heels. The weakness of the Carolina defense is stopping the run, and the triple option is coming to Chapel Hill not fearing anyone. UNC has to be patient on offense knowing possessions will be limited, they have to make every opportunity count. Later in the game I think the overall talent level will wear down the visitors and propel UNC to the win. Prediction: UNC 45, Citadel 28.

Bruce Young

Carolina had better take the Bulldog team seriously or they will lose back to back games. The coaches have been working the players hard this week in practice and they should be ready for the Bulldog Triple Option Offense. Look for the Heels to play better defense this week and bounce back from a BAD loss at Duke! Prediction: UNC 48, Citadel 24.

John Gwaltney

This is one of those games where it will be important for Carolina to come in focused and ready to play. The Citadel (No. 5 in FCS) is one of the best FCS programs in 2016 as its 10-0 record shows. The Bulldogs will be Carolina's second look at a triple-option offense this season, but it won't be like playing Georgia Tech, again, as each teams has their own philosophy and wrinkles. After thinking about what could have been at Duke, this will be the Tar Heels first chance to get that bad taste out of its mouth. Prediction: UNC 40, Citadel 14

Andrew Jones

Is this a dangerous game for the Tar Heels? Yes, it is. But it’s also a huge task for The Citadel, especially if the Heels are ready to play and protect the football. The belief here is the Heels will be ready, they take the Bulldogs seriously, and will make some plays. This is not a throw away game, folks, it’s very important Carolina plays well Saturday, especially given what happened at Duke. Prediction: UNC 51, Citadel 17.
