UNC Offers Day'Ron Sharpe

2020 power forward Day'Ron Sharpe was extended an offer by North Carolina on Monday night.

North Carolina has offered 4-star power forward Day’Ron Sharpe, who attends South Central High School in Winterville, NC.

The No. 90 overall prospect in the class of 2020, Sharpe is the first prospect offered by UNC since the evaluation periods began in April.

His high school coach Chris Cherry told THI that UNC offered him.

"Roy called him tonight," said Cherry.

Williams has been on him for a while. Now after a weekend of viewing him on the AAU circuit, the staff has officially made the offer.

Sharpe has also been offered by Virginia, UConn and N.C. State, among others.

“He’s an elite rebounder and rim protector at such an early age,” Cherry said about the 6-8, 220 pounder. “His offensive game has really improved, especially ball handling and his 3-point shot.”
