North Carolina offered big-time 2019 power forward James Wiseman on Monday night, Wiseman announced on Twitter.
Wiseman, who is 6-10 and 210 pounds, attends Ensworth High School in Nashville, TN, and is rated the No. 3 overall player in the Class. Also on Monday, Roy Williams offered the No. 2 overall player in the class, Vernon Carey.
Wiseman has also been offered by Florida, FSU, Texas, Indiana and Kansas, among many others.
Wiseman recently talked with THI basketball recruiting analyst Clint Jackson.
"They say that they want me to come to their school," Wiseman said about UNC.. "They've said they like me and to bring some other guys with me if I end up coming to their school."
Jackson is impressed with what he's seen from Wiseman.
"James Wiseman has tremendous upside as a mobile big man," he said. "He has that breathtaking length and can run, jump and finish with ease. The lefty can face up and has a nice soft touch from short and mid-range.
"Pair him with a team that runs and penetrates, and he's the ultimate garbage man near the basket. He compares well to a young Brandan Wright."
