Jace Ruder, a 3-star quarterback from Norton, KS, committed Monday evening to play college football at North Carolina.

Originally, Rider was committed to play at Tulsa, but his stock started growing a lot this spring and offers from Power 5 schools started rolling in. He re-opened his recruitment and this past week visited some schools in the eastern part of the United States.

UNC was among the schools the Ruder family visited. In fact, he took part in the Freak Show on Saturday night, which we noted in our coverage.

Ruder, who also camped last week at Florida State, was one of the last prospects to leave the Kenan Stadium turf Saturday night, as the family remained out there speaking to a few coaches for quite some time. He was close to committing then, but obviously waited a couple of days.

Ruder is 6-3, 205 pounds and also had offers from FSU, Georgia and Baylor, among many others.
