London Merritt is a 4-star strongside defensive end from Atlanta, GA, who will now play at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL.

Merritt, who previously attended Woodward Academy, is the No. 72 overall prospect in the Rivals250 for the class of 2025. He is ranked No. 7 at his position nationally, and as the No. 8 overall prospect in Florida. Merritt also has a 5.9 rating, so he’s not too far off from being a 5-star prospect.

At 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds, Merritt has been offered by Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee, Penn State, Oklahoma, LSU and many others, including North Carolina.

Merritt was at UNC this past weekend visiting with the coaching staff, facilities, campus, and he attended the Tar Heels’ basketball game versus Duke, which was memorable for him for personal reasons.
