Herbert Scroggins III is a physical, athletic 6-foot-3, 235-pound 4-star outside linebacker of Benedictine Military School in Savannah, GA. And he is a major target for North Carolina Coach Mack Brown and the Tar Heels, as well as many other Power 4 programs in the country.

Scroggins was on campus for his official visit in Chapel Hill this past weekend, touring the facilities, spending quality time with coaches, and meeting with an academic advisor.

On May 18, he cut his list of top programs down to six schools ahead of his official visit schedule. UNC not only came out alive as part of the mix for the services of blue-chip pass rusher from the Peach State alongside big names like Auburn, Georgia Tech, Miami, Southern Cal, and Tennessee, but the Tar Heels were the first program on the board to get him on their campus as Scroggins sorts out his list logistically, a schedule which could spill into the fall.
