78th Shrine Bowl On Saturday

The 78th Annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas will take place Saturday at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC. ,matching the elite prospects of North and South Carolina versus each other. And UNC commitments and targets will be well represented.
Ten UNC targets from both states, will be in action. Juval Mollette, Jalen Dalton and Mason Veal have already committed and will enroll in January at UNC. [db]Carl Tucker[/db], another early enrollee at UNC, pulled out of the game because of an injury.

*[db]Josh Ladowski[/db], a UNC baseball commit from Lake Norman, was added to the roster this week.
*The Shrine Bowl of The Carolinas was first played on December 4, 1937 in Charlotte, making it the oldest high school all-star game in the nation. Since that first game, more than $75 million dollars have been raised for the Shriners Hospital.
*Some notable former Heels to participate in the Shrine Bowl include Julius Peppers ('97), Ryan Sims ('97), Kevin Reddick ('07), Hakeem Nicks ('05) and Kareem Martin ('09).
*Kickoff time for the game is 1 p.m. at Gibbs Stadium. Fans of the game can watch on WatchESPN.
