BROOKLYN, NY - Former North Carolina great Antawn Jamison represented the Tar Heels as its ACC Legend on Friday night at the ACC Tournament at Barclays Center.
The league annually selects a former great from each ACC school to be recognized at halftime of the first semifinal game, and Jamison was this year's UNC selection.
In three seasons as a Tar Heel, Jamison averaged 19 points per game shooting 57.7 percent from the floor, 9.9 rebounds and in 1998 was named ACC Player of the year and was the consensus National Player of the Year. He was also named first-team All-ACC all three seasons and a consensus All-America as a sophomore and junior.
Jamison played 15 NBA seasons playing in two All-Star and winning the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award in 2004. He finished his NBA career with 20,042 points averaging 18.5 per game and 8,157 rebounds 7.5 per game.
