I left the Georgia Dome on Saturday with an extremely bad taste in my mouth. It was the same taste I had last year when I left Charlotte after the South Carolina Game. North Carolina was a better football team on both occasions and both times they came out with the loss.

I, like a lot of other Tar Heels, are questioning the style of play on offense we are playing. Smart, Fast and Physical is a great slogan and one that Coach Fedora and his staff really believes in. That "style" took the Heels to the ACC Championship Game and 2 Division Titles.

However, in my opinion, that "style" cannot and will not get the Tar Heels over the hump in beating quality opponents, i.e., Georgia, Clemson, Florida State, etc. They will be able to dominate the likes of NC State, Duke, Wake Forest, Virginia, Miami etc., with this "style" but not the "Big Boys" if you will!

On Saturday night, Georgia punched the Carolina Defense in the mouth with their offense line all night long. They punished our defense by running Nick Chubb and others, down our throat. The $64,000 question to me is why did Carolina not do the same thing with Elijah Hood and T.J. Logan?

Carolina’s offense sputtered all night, which meant their defense was on the field more than they should have been, thus allowing Georgia to punish an obviously tired defense in the 4th quarter. Having Mitch Trubisky throw the ball 40 times was unbelievable when you have two studs in the backfield like Hood and Logan! There has to be an adjustment made by someone on this staff to utilize the offensive weapons we have in the back field, before it’s too late.

This Saturday night, the Heels head into Champaign Illinois for what can be described as a make or break game that it didn’t really have to be. Losing to Georgia, makes the Illinois game a "MUST" win. It will be their 2nd Road Game in a row in a hostile environment. Mitch Trubisky will have to play much better and the Heels will need to show up more disciplined and MAKE PLAYS.

Having Mack Hollins back for the whole game should help and cutting down on the penalties is a must! Failure to do so, will result in the Tar Heels coming back to Chapel Hill 0-2 and to a half empty Kenan Stadium when "powerful" James Madison comes in. It’s time to put up or shut up for the Heels. Which will it be; we’ll have to wait and see. GO HEELS!!
