AL DE Loves Family Feel
One of the many things that Alec Jackson finds intriguing about North Carolina is the culture within the program.
The 2017 defensive end from Montgomery, AL, attended UNC's football camp this past summer and figures if the players at camp are treated like family, the players that are at school and playing for the Tar Heels will have a true family experience.

That's important to the 6-4, 238 pounder.
"I loved it there, I love how they treated us," Jackson told THI on Thursday.
It isn't hard for UNC to love Jackson, either. He's a 3-star prospect whom Larry Fedora offered at the conclusion of Jackson's day camping in Chapel Hill. So far, Jackson has about a half-dozen offers, and it's likely he will get some from ACC and SEC schools, probably sooner rather than later.
Clemson, Auburn, Ole Miss and Mississippi State have been recruiting him hard of late, he says, but Jackson also says he's a bit partial to the Tar Heels right now.
"Yes I do," he said about expecting more offers soon. "But UNC will be the top team on my list because they made me feel like I'm one of them."
Jackson plans to visit with his coach for the Virginia game when Davis High School has a bye. And as for what else Jackson likes about UNC, notably the football element, he is quite impressed.
"They have a great coaching staff," he said. "When I was up there coach (Tray) Scott was coaching me like I was already playing for the team. I can see myself being the quiet one at first, but then as I get deeper into the program become a leader on the team."
Davis' team is doing well and could be headed to the playoffs. Personally, he's just trying to get better every day and learning to be a nastier player on the field.
"I've been playing well this year," he said. "I've improved in being the aggressor in practices and games."
That suits the junior well, who also acknowledged how much more aggressively the Tar Heels have been on defense themselves. Maybe one day he'll be one of those guys.
