THI's Take:

It is hard to imagine Maye being any better than he has so far. Through seven games, no UNC QB has ever been better, and he is still very much learning. His ability to hit stuff over the middle at various distances stresses defenses and allows the Tar Heels to regularly use every inch of the field.

In addition, his athletic ability, toughness, and understanding of wen to take off is a weapon that has helped the Tar Heels win games. He is beginning to get some Heisman mention for good reason. Drake Maye is legit.
