Friday Night Lights: Nov 1

High School football is in full gear this season, as throughout the country, recruits will be looking to make a name for themselves on Friday night as they continue their dream to play in college.
Tar Heel Illustrated has been tracking these recruits, as several 2014 North Carolina recruits are playing Friday and Saturday night. Here is a chance for you, the fans, to see where the next Tar Heels will be playing this coming weekend and to possibly get go out and support the recruits.

The season is starting to wind down and teams are making a push for the playoffs, as they are right around the corner. Several of these upcoming games will help determine the playoff and conference champions, as some of the top teams in each conference battle it out on the field.
Check down below for recent updates throughout the season, as THI continues to update everyone on each recruits season so far.
Elijah Hood - Charlotte Catholic (7-2)
Nov 1: @ Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC)
- Charlotte Catholic and Hood took care of business against a tough West Mecklenburg team that came in 7-1 on the season. Hood had 266 yards and three touchdowns.
Cameron Albright - North Cobb (7-1)
Nov 1: Marietta (Marietta, GA)
- Albright was able to make it a good weekend, as he was able to attend the BC win for UNC and his team got the W over Pebblebrook Friday night, 28-3. North Cobb has forced six turnovers.
Josh Allen - University Christian School (6-2)
Nov 1: Cedar Creek Christian (Jacksonville, FL)
- Another blowout win for the Christians last week, as they dominated over Eagle's View 62-0. They were able to rack up 311 yards on the ground and 217 yards passing.
Allen Artis - Wheeler (2-6)
Nov 1: @ Woodstock (Woodstock, GA)
- Wheeler faced another tough opponent and had another close game before eventually losing 35-28 for the second week in a row, this one to Lassiter at home. The defense forced six turnovers in the loss.
Tajze Battle - Dunbar (5-3)
Nov 1: North Fort Myers
- Dunbar had a tough battle in front of them, as they faced a 7-1 Island Coast team at their home place. Dunbar couldn't put any points on the board till the fourth quarter, eventually losing 21-8.
Cayson Collins - Berry Academy (2-7)
Nov 1: West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)
- Berry couldn't continue their winning streak Friday night against Ardrey Kell, as Collins and company lost 41-20 at home.
Ayden Bonilla - Etowah (7-1)
Nov 1: Walton
- Etowah suffered their first loss of the season against Cherokee last week, 28-21.
Robert Dinkins - Olympic (5-4)
Nov 1: @ Harding University
- After starting the season 5-1, Olympic have struggled to get back in the win column, losing three straight, with the latest coming from South Mecklenburg (27-0).
Malik Carney - T.C. Williams (5-3)
Nov 1: @ West Springfield
- T.C. Williams faced off against Caleb Henderson and Lake Braddock, as Braddock dominated them on both sides of the field in a 44-0 shutout.
Caleb Henderson - Lake Braddock (8-0)
Nov 1: South County (Lorton, VA)
- Henderson and Lake Braddock took full control of the game against T.C. Williams last week, as Lake Braddock dominated from start to finish in a 44-0 win.
Caleb Samuel - First Presbyterian Day (5-3)
Nov 1: Warren County
- First Presbyterian got a scare last week in a tough away game against Wilkinson County, squeaking out a narrow 41-40 win.
Jeremiah Clarke - T.C Williams (5-3)
Nov 1: @ West Springfield
- T.C. Williams faced off against Caleb Henderson and Lake Braddock, as Braddock dominated them on both sides of the field in a 44-0 shutout.
Tyler Powell - Cosby (5-4)
Nov 1: Wythe (Richmond, VA)
- Cosby had a big task ahead of them against Bird, a team that was coming in undefeated at 7-0. Bird was able to show their dominance over Cosby, as they shutout Cosby in a 35-0 win.
Marvin Stewart - Yorktown (7-1)
Nov 1: @ Mount Vernon
- M.J. Stewart didn't play in the game and people thought that the Patriots would have a tough time winning the game against Chantilly. But the defense stepped up at the end for a 30-28 win.
Tyrell Tomlin - Marietta (6-2)
Nov 1: @ North Cobb
- Marietta was in a shootout last week against South Cobb at home, as they won 58-46 Friday night.
Austin Proehl - Providence (6-3)
Nov 1: South Mecklenburg
- Providence had no trouble against Harding University last week in a 45-7 win and will face a team now that just took down Robert Dinkins and Olympic. Proehl has 894 yards receiving so far this season.
Freeman Jones - Bunn (5-4)
Nov 1: @ Franklinton
- Bunn couldn't continue their recent success, falling to South Granville 28-21 in a road game. On the season, Bunn is 1-3 in away games and faces a tough Franklinton this week.
Brandon Fritts - Mentor (8-1)
Nov 1: @ Strongsville
- Mentor just continues to win, as they now have won seven in a row, after defeating Hudson 38-14 last week.
Josh Cabrera - Northside (6-3)
Nov 1: @ North Brunswick
- Southwest Onslow is one of the top teams in NC and the 30-25 victory over them was Northside's most impressive win on the season so far. Cabrera had four catches for 41 yards
Avery Edwards - Ravenscroft (5-5)
Nov 1: @ Harrells Christian Academy
- Ravenscroft couldn't' stop the offensive power of Charlotte Christian in a 50-28 loss. They wrap up their season next week against Harrells Christian Academy. Edwards had five catches for 108 yards and two touchdowns.
Bentley Spain - Providence (6-3)
Nov 1: South Mecklenburg
- Providence had no trouble against Harding University last week in a 45-7 win and will face a team now that just took down Robert Dinkins and Olympic.
Throughout the season, Tar Heel Illustrated will give the fans information about where the future Tar Heels might be playing in the upcoming weeks and updates about how each team is doing week in and week out. All over the country, one will be able to catch a glimpse of some future Tar Heels, as they continue to grow and compete against teams around their area.
