Heels Want Lincoln Highs Secondary

Pat Watkins is part of an all-star secondary at Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Fla. Watkins, a 6-foot-4, 196-pounder with 4.4-second speed in the 40-yard dash, plays free safety on a Lincoln team that also features defensive back Greg Threat and highly regarded Larrey "Buddy" Williams.
Watkins, who could grow into an outside linebacker in college, has set four of his five official visits as allowed by the NCAA. He'll trek to Georgia on Dec. 7, Miami on Dec. 14, to UNC on Jan. 11 and to Southern Cal on Jan 25. Florida State or LSU will get the final visit from Watkins, who is considering all six of those schools.
There's a chance that Williams may accompany Watkins on the visit. The 5-11, 175-pounder is a cornerback with 4.49 speed in the 40. He says he has scholarship offers from the likes of Central Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Marshall, Miami, North Carolina and South Carolina. Illinois, Miami, UNC and South Carolina will get visits, according to Williams.
