As prolific as North Carolina was offensively through its first three games, the Tar Heels met a match it struggled with Saturday in a 45-32 loss to Notre Dame at Kenan Stadium.

UNC entered the game No. 5 nationally in total offense and No. 4 in scoring, but it didn’t come close to either average, falling short by nearly 200 yards and 19 points.
