CHAPEL HILL – UNC offensive line coach and offensive coordinator Chris Kapilovic met with some members of the media following Tuesday’s practice to discuss his ganged up group and some elements of the offense.

Among the things Coach Kap hit on:

*Kap half-joked he was looking for anyone to put in the game in the second half of Saturday’s win at Old Dominion. He was responding to a question if he’d ever been involved in a game in which his team won by 30 points yet had three offensive linemen play every offensive snap.

*He said that senior OT Bentley Spain was the emergency tackle for the ODU game. Spain has had two injuries this season – a leg injury in fall camp and a broken hand in the opener versus California – and was very limited at ODU. He didn’t play any offensive snaps but was in for a couple of PATs. Kap spoke extensively about Spain.

*Kapilovic also spoke about the job Jay-Jay McCargo did playing every snap at center, how Mason Veal graded out playing the entire second half in place of Sweet, and even had some fun with Veal’s pass reception.

*As the OC, Kap discussed WR Thomas Jackson’s injury and the effect it’s had on the senior and answered if Jordan Cunningham can fill in doing some of the things Jackson was doing well.
