CHAPEL HILL - North Carolina defeated Western Carolina, 104-61, on Wednesday night at the Smith Center, ending a 10-game stretch that spanned 27 days to open the season.
UNC shot a school-record 72.7 percent from the 3-point range making 16 of 22 shots from the perimeter, and outrebiunded the Catamounts 53-25 while improving to 9-1 on the season. WCU fell to 3-7.
Six Tar Heels scored in double figures and two others totaled 9 points.
