BROOKLYN, NY - North Carolina advanced to the championship game of the ACC Tournament with a 74-69 victory over Duke on Friday night at Barclays Center.
The Tar Heels built a 16-point lead with less than 6 minutes to play, but a 13-0 Duke run had the Heels on edge, but free throws by Theo Pinson with 5.1 seconds left secured the victory.
UNC improved to 25-9 while Duke dropped to 26-7. UNC will play top seed Virginia to the championship on Saturday night.
