CORAL GABLES, FL – North Carolina got a barrage of late 3-pointers to pull away from Miami for an 85-76 victory on Saturday at Watsco Center.

Cam Johnson and Kenny Williams each hit a pair of big 3s over a four-minute stretch after Miami cut the margin to one point with just more than six minutes remaining. Johnsn led UNC with 22 points and Williams added 16, plus three other Tar Heels scored in double figures.

Carolina also limited Miami to just two 3s in the second half, outrebounded the Hurricanes by 15. UNC also shot 55 percent on the day.

UNC improved to 14-4 overall and 4-1 in the ACC while Miami dropped to 9-8 and 1-4.
