Locker Room Report

CHAPEL HILL – North Carolina lost 31-17 to No. 2 Notre Dame on Friday at Kenan Stadium.

The No. 19 Tar Heels scored touchdowns on their first two drives but managed just a field goal the rest of the game. UNC entered averaging 563 yards per game and was held to 298 by the Fighting Irish.

UNC dropped to 6-3 while Notre Dame improved to 9-0.
