Video: DeMario Pressley (Ultimate Ticket)
Defensive tackle, DeMario Pressley, of Greensboro Dudley is having fun with the circus that surrounds the nation’s best players. With well over 25 offers and a summer filled with camps, Pressley is undaunted by the publicity and the attention.
"I like it (the attention)," said Pressley. "It is fun. I have 25 or more offers. I am still looking at all of them. All of them are (recruiting the hardest). I get a lot of letters. Distance is not a factor for me. Not a factor at all."
DeMario has visited North Carolina three times already, and is planning another trip very shortly. "I have been there three times. My coach (Dudley Coach Victor Floyd) and I are going to camp this summer. I am not sure what day. I am also going to camp at (NC) State, Wake, Notre Dame, Clemson, Tennessee, and a lineman camp down in Florida (the Down & Dirty Lineman Camp)."
"I like the facilities and the coaches (at UNC). The facilities are really good. Coach (James) Webster is a really cool guy. I like Coach Webster. I met Coach Lawing, and he is real straight to the point. He sat me down and told me how he wants to be my coach. I liked that he was straight to the point. I met Coach Bunting (at the Spring Junior Day). He was a really cool guy, too. He was straightforward with me, too. He has a lot of experience."
Pressley also attended the summer camp at UNC last year as well as the Texas game last September. "It was really crazy (at the Texas game). The crowd was great. It was a very good atmosphere. They stayed with the players. I would like to play in that type of atmosphere, where the crowd is still with you. I also like the way the players never gave up. It was a great game. (UNC signee) Isaiah Thomas and I talked a lot that game. He and I met at camp last year. We talk, but we aren’t good, good friends."
"Coach Floyd has been like a mentor to me. He has really helped me out."
"I am looking at graduation rates, the atmosphere, and the player coach relationship. I will probably decide signing day. Well, after the season."
