This past week was the biggest one for high school basketball between the holidays and the end of the regular season.

There is not a bigger tournament than the Hoophall Hall of Fame Classic in Springfield, Massachusetts which is also the home of the Basketball Hall of Fame. Not only does it feature games that are played on ESPNU, it also features many of the very best players in the country.

That wasn't the only game in town. There was also the Bass Pro Tournament in Springfield, Missouri plus other events across the country.

There was plenty of quality and quantity to report, and there was also enough to talent to go around to name our first Tar Heel Illustrated Player of the Week.
