Quotes From Rashaad Tindall

Rashaad Tindall, a 6-foot-4, 195-pound wide receiver-defensive back from Wilmington Laney, said he was offered a scholarship after the Wake Forest game on Nov. 10. He was recruited by UNC defensive ends coach Rod Broadway.
"The biggest factor was the education I can get there," Tindall said. "Plus, everyone made me feel right at home there, the coaches, the players, everybody. It was like a home away from home.

"When I told them I was committing, Coach Broadway said it was the best news he had all day. He said I'd make a big impact on defense or offense."
Current UNC sophomore linebacker Kitwana Jones, a graduate of Laney, helped play a role in Tindall's decision to commit to the Tar Heels.
"I talked to Kitwana Jones and some of the other former Laney players in college like Tarence Williams and R.D. Montgomery (of Wake Forest)," Tindall said. "They all told me, ‘Go where you feel like you'll be able to play and where you feel at home.’ And Kitwana told me how great it (UNC) was. He really likes it up there and I think I wanted to be part of that."
