1st Half
*After starting the game hitting 9 of 17 shots from the field, UK then missed 10 straight shots and 12 of 13 before converting a put back to make it 29-24..
*Sheppard picked Cadeau at midcourt and hit a pull-up 3 for a 37-27 lead.
*UK owning the glass, ahead 19-14 overall, and 8-2 on the offensive boards with 3:45 left in the half.
*Only two Tar Heels with 2 or more made FGs (Ryan 4, Ingram 2) at 3:45 left.
*Withers block, Davis drive, kicks out to Ryan for a 3, 40-35 UK. This thing felt like a 15-point game a minute ago, suddenly UNC has cut it to 5 with 1:19 left.
*UNC ball with 14.7 seconds left – Timeout as Heels set up their play: But UK twice blocked shot attempts by Davis.
*Yet, UNC still closed the half on an 8-0 run.

2nd Half
*UNC tied the score at 40-40 extending its run to 0-0. But UK then reeld off a 15-3 run for a 55-43 lead with14:39 left.
*At the second TV timeout of the second half, Armando Bacot had just two FG attempts and 2 FT attempts.
*Tar Heels kept clawing, as UK was unable to build enough of a margin for some comfort.
*UNC used an 8-2 run to take its first lead at 72-71 with 5:15 left after Bacot rammed home a slam off a feed from Jae’Lyn Withers, and then converted the free throw.
*But UK immediately responded with a 6-0 spurt for a 77-72 lead prompting UNC to call timeout with 3:44 left.
*Davis responds to UK’s bucket with a 3 – 79-77 with 2:34 left.
*Davis hit one of two free throws cutting the score to 83-81, but Withers was called for a questionable foul.Yet, UK missed the front end of a one-and-one, but got its own rebound. Ingram blocked Wagner's driving layup attempt at49.3, giving UK the ball with 3 seconds on the shot clock.
Again, Carolina couldn't rebound a missed three, but was rebounded by UK's Aaron Bradshaw, who scored and was fouled by Davis. But after review, the basket was waved off because of a shot clock violation.
Bradshaw hit both free throws giving Kentucky a four-point lead before UNC called timeout with 42.7 seconds left.
Ingram was fouled driving into the lane and then hit both free throws to make it 85-83.
Robert Dillingham missed one of two free throws making it 86-83, timeout UNC with 11.9 seconds left.
Cadeau passed the ball to Ryan’s back as he was running up the court. He hadn’t been in since the 9:06 mark because he’d struggled. Hubert inserted the freshman and he made a crucial mistake. UK free throw made it 87-83.
