Terry struggles in Nike Invitational tourney

Winston-Salem Reynolds made a decent showing last weekend against some of top teams and players in the country at the Nike Invitational in Houston, finishing the tournament with a record of 1-2. Day One saw Reynolds fall to top-ranked Rainer Beach 36-34. Day Two was Reynolds’ only victory, a 56-51 decision over Booker T. Washington. Day Three saw Reynolds lose to Westchester 41-36.
Reyshawn Terry and Justin Bohlander did not have the best of tournaments, although Bohlander did manage to have a nice performance against Booker T Washington with 19 points and eight rebounds. Against Rainer Beach Bohlander finished with four points, 13 rebounds, two assists, two turnovers and two steals. Against Booker T. Washington, Bohlander finished with 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two turnovers and three steals. Bohlander finished with six points, seven rebounds, four assists, seven turnovers and one steal against Westchester.
Terry had a mediocre tournament, beginning in the Rainer Beach game with totals of nine points, 8 eight rebounds, one assist, three turnovers, one steal and one block. Things got worse for Terry against Booker T. Washington, when he finished with totals of two points, three rebounds, two turnovers and one steal. Terry sat out most of the game after throwing an elbow at an opposing player and drawing a technical foul. Against Westchester, things did not get much better. Terry finished with six points, six rebounds, one assist, two turnovers, three steals and three blocks.
The competition does not get easier for Winston-Salem Reynolds. The Demons visit Charlotte to play in the Dell Curry Shootout held Jan. 2-4.
