CHAPEL HILL - North Carolina defeated Florida State 78-70 to open up ACC play in the Dean Smith Center on Saturday afternoon.
The No. 17 Tar Heels trailed at half, but used a 22-0 run in the second half to take command. They were led by RJ Davis, who scored 27 points. Armando Bacot had a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds. Harrison Ingram added 11 points.
North Carolina improves to 1-0 in the ACC and 7-1 overall while the Seminoles fall to 0-1 in the ACC and 4-3 overall.
