Today is basketball signing day

Today marks the official start of the fall signing period for basketball, in which the high school seniors graduating in 2003 can officially sign their letters of intent to the school they will attend. Most of the top players in the class of 2003 have already committed, and signing is just a formality.
For UNC there will not be much action this year because the Heels only have one player committed. Reyshawn Terry from Winston-Salem will most likely be the only signee that the Heels bring in from the senior class after missing out on a couple of top post players.

UNC had five scholarships available to pass out the classes of 2003 and ’04, but with current Tar Heel David Noel promised one for his sophomore season, and with a commitment from Terry and 2004 standout guard JamesOn Curry, the Heels now only have two grants left to pass out the current high school junior class.
Signing period runs for one week and ends Nov. 20.
