With 3-star linebacker Michael Short's announcement to attend North Carolina on Thursday, THI dives into our regular post-commitment feature where we take a look at where Mack Brown’s program really stands in the current Rivals rankings.
Short popping for the Tar Heels places UNC’s team ranking for the class of 2022 at No. 26, jumping four spots from the No. 30 position before the decision. UNC’s average player ranking increased to 5.672 from 5.650 and moved up to No. 29 from No. 32 in average ranking per commitment. And keep in mind, this is a different formula than what is used elsewhere. We go strictly by the Rivals points rating system.
Note: The Tar Heels have 3 decommitments and Rivals has done a ranking update since the last time we ran this piece.
