Top-ranked North Carolina begins its quest to win a national championship Monday night as the Tar Heels host UNC-Wilmington for a 9 PM tip at the Smith Center.

UNC is coming off a season in which it finished 29-10 and lost in the national title game by three points to Kansas. The Tar Heels return four starters – Armando Bacot, Leaky Black, RJ Davis, and Caleb Love – and welcome Northwestern transfer Pete Nance, who was All-Big Ten last season.

The Seahawks are coming off a 24-9 campaign that saw them conclude the season by capturing the CBA championship. They will have a different look this season, with eight new players on the roster. In addition, UNCQ has eight players that are 6-foot-7 or taller, and they are an athletic team.

The game will air on the ACC Network.
